VanMarter Ties for Best Jump in D3 this Season
The St. John Fisher College men's track and field team finished competition at its last regular season meet on Thursday at the Oneonta Final Qualifier, hosted on the campus of SUNY Oneonta.

Mark VanMarter destroyed his own school record and the facility record in the long jump, going a distance of 7.64 meters, tying him for No. 1 in the nation.
Peter Girardi took second place by one hundredth of a second in the 400-meter hurdles, setting a new personal record time of 51.34 that puts him second nationally.
Any athletes that qualify in their respective events will compete next weekend in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted at Mount Union College in Geneva, Ohio.
