Six Selected to North/South Game
Five seniors will represent the Empire 8 at the 76th annual North-South Senior all-star game, sponsored by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). The senior all-star game will be played at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College on Friday, May 26 at 3:00 p.m.

Jack Shumway wrapped up his Ithaca career with another excellent season in 2017. He paced the Bombers with 68 points, tallying 50 goals and adding 18 assists. He also chipped in 31 ground-balls and five caused turnovers. He was the only player in the E8 to reach the 50-goal mark this season, while his 68 points finished in a three-way tie for the top spot overall.
John Januszkiewicz finished the year with 31 points on 27 goals and four assists. The senior also chipped in four caused turnovers and 17 ground-balls during the year.
Joe Eiskant enjoyed a solid 2017 season as one of the Golden Flyers' team captains. He finished third on the team in scoring with 42 points on 29 goals and 13 assists. He was named Most Valuable Player of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament after scoring three times in an overtime semifinal win at Ithaca and then adding three goals and two assists in an overtime championship game win at Stevens.
Jake Sachse was the Hartwick's leader in both assists (19) and points (40). He also added 21 goals on the season. Sachse would register a season-high four goals in a game at Ithaca. He had five points on two goals and three assists in back-to-back wins against St. John Fisher and Oneonta.
Connor McKeon totaled 29 goals and 13 assists, and recorded his 100th career point this season and tallied points in 17 of 19 this season. He recorded three game-winning goals, four up goals and picked up 10 ground balls. Thirty-three percent of his shots found the back of the net and 60% of his shots were on goal.
Jan Schoonen picked up 33 ground balls and causing 23 turnovers. Over his four-year career, the Miller Place, New York native appeared in 57 games and collected 131 ground balls.
