Brophy Named D3baseball.com Rookie of the Year

Anthony Brophy has been recognized as the
D3baseball.com Rookie of the Year.
Brophy had a terrific freshman campaign leading Fisher in wins with a near-perfect 9-1 record on the bump. Named the Empire 8's Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year, the freshman's earned run average of 1.54 topped the conference (13th in the nation), while his 52 strikeouts ranked fourth. Brophy is no stranger to accolades as he has also been named the Pitcher of the Year by ECAC and well as named a First Team All-Region member by both ECAC and ABCA/Rawlings.
Fisher finished its season with 31-12 record, hitting the 30-win mark for the second time in as many years. The squad also earned its second-straight trip to the NCAA Regional Round where they won one game before eventually bowing out to Babson College.
