2017 Men's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team and MVP

The 2017 Empire 8 Men's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team has been announced. 

Nazareth -  Joe Eiskant (A), Seth DeLisle (FO), Nick Arnold (M) and Luke Longo (M)
Stevens – Tommy Dawson (A), Dallas Creamer (D) and Dean Peluso (M)
Hartwick: James Vogt (F/O), Jake Sachse (M)
Ithaca: Cody Swing (LSM), Josh Della Puca (M)

Eiskant was named as the Championship's Most Valuable Player.  He scored three goals, had a pair of assists and four ground balls in the 11-10 overtime championship game victory over Stevens and he also added a hat trick in the 14-13 overtime semifinal win over Ithaca.

DeLisle won 80 percent of his faceoffs in two games. He was 24-31 and scooped up 19 ground balls in the semifinal win against Ithaca. In the championship game, DeLisle won 20-of-24, including the faceoff to start overtime and give Nazareth possession. He also accounted for 17 of Nazareth's 42 groundballs. 

Arnold finished with six points in the tournament on five goals and one assist. His assist was on the overtime goal in the Championship game to give Nazareth the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Longo scored the game-winning goal just 19 seconds into overtime of the semfinal against Ithaca.  He finished that game with two goals, two assists and five ground balls. In the championship game he scopped up five groundballs.

Dawson led the Duck's offense in the tournament, netting five goals and adding two assists against Hartwick and one goal and one assist against Nazareth. 

Peluso netted back-to-back hat tricks in the tournament.

Creamer caused four turnovers in the tournament including three in the title game. He also scored his first goal of the season in the title game.

Sachse came off the bench to score a goal and add an assist. He assisted on the first goal for Hartwick in the second quarter and then scored on a man-advantage later in the second. 

Vogt recorded a team-high six ground balls for the Hawks in the semifinal against Stevens. He also won 12-of-17 face-offs.

Della Puca led all players with seven points in the semifinal game against Nazareth. He scored five goals and added two assists, tying his career highs for both points and goals in a game.

Swing played an excellent semifinal game defensively as he finished with a game-high four caused turnovers and added six ground-balls.
