Two Teams and 18 Individuals Honored for Academic Excellence
The Nazareth College and Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball squads were recognized with a 2016-17 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)
Team Academic Excellence Award, Wednesday, July 12 by the association.
To earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, teams must have compiled a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2016-17 season.
In addition, 18 E8 men's basketball players were named to the
NABC Honors Court, announced Thursday, July 18.
Individuals selected for the Honors Court met the following criteria:
1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year.
3. Must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
