20 Athletes and Nine Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Twenty-eight Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) student athletes, five women's teams and four men's teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

A total of 608 women and 402 men from Division III earned the individual all-acdemic honor.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

The Empire 8 had five of the 183 women's teams awarded academic accolades, while four of the 111 men's teams honored were from the E8. In order to be in the running for Scholar Team of the Year, a team must finish highly at the respective national championship and have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.
