Graham appointed head tennis coach at Alfred University
ALFRED, NY –
Paul Vecchio, director of athletics at Alfred University, announces that
Mike Graham has been appointed head women's and men's tennis coach at AU.
Graham is a 2016 graduate of Alfred University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. While at AU, he was a four-year member of the Saxons' men's tennis team (2012-15), serving as a team captain his senior season.

Mike did an outstanding job as an assistant with our women's team a few years ago and was an excellent player for us during his undergraduate days at AU," Vecchio said. "Mike brings a tremendous passion for tennis, a willingness to recruit outstanding student-athletes to his alma mater and an outstanding ability to teach the fundamentals of tennis. I look forward to the work he will do with our tennis programs."
"I am truly excited to be back with my Alfred University family," Graham added. "I played here at Alfred University for four years and was able to be the assistant coach for a year. I cherished every moment of being a part of these teams. I look forward to working with both the men's and women's tennis teams once again."
Graham served as an assistant coach for the AU men's and women's teams during the 2015-16 seasons. His previous experience coaching tennis includes working as a summer tennis camp coach at Elmira College in 2017; as a tennis instructor at the Corning YMCA in 2011; and as an instructor for the Greater Elmira Tennis Association in 2010.
A native of Elmira, NY, Graham served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Elmira College during the 2016-17 academic year.
