BROCKPORT, N.Y. The College at Brockport offensive line has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the week ending September 10, 2017. This selection comes on the heels of a 31-0 routing of Ithaca College that helped propel the Golden Eagles to the No. 22 spot in the latest d3football.com rankings.

The offensive line, which includes James Grennan, Caleb Ferdilus, Mark Sanchez, Justin Torres, and Adan Barrientos, was a force up front, allowing for 442 yards of total offense in the win. Brockport picked up 11 first downs on the ground and 12 through the air, allowing the O-line to showcase both their pass and rush blocking.

The unit was especially dominant on third down, converting 56% of their chances (9 for 16). Quarterback Joe Germinerio dropped back to pass 37 times without being sacked, and was afforded enough time in the pocket to complete 24 of those attempts. The O-line also created holes for the rushing attack, as four players combined to average over 4 yards-per-carry, and picked up 174 yards on the ground.

This unit has been a bright spot for the Golden Eagles for a few years now, as all five starting offensive linemen are returners, and started on the 2016 squad as well. Three of those in Sanchez, Torres, and Ferdilus earned All-Conference selections a year ago. They haven't slowed down in 2017, as the offense ranks in the top-20 in the country in total offense (522.5 yards-per-game).

The offensive line and the rest of the Brockport team will get a chance to keep up their winning ways this Saturday when they travel to Pittsford, N.Y. for a 6 p.m. matchup with St. John Fisher College in the annual Courage Bowl.
