Stevens Men's DMR Ranked No. 1 in NCAA

NEW YORK, N.Y. (January 25, 2018) - After earning special placement into the Dr. Sander Invitational at the NYC Armory this week, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's distance medley relay team proved they belonged by turning in the fastest time of the year among all NCAA Division III teams so far this year on Friday.

A distance medley relay is made up of a 1200-meter leg (three laps on a standard 400 meter track), a 400-meter leg (one lap), an 800-meter leg (two laps), and a 1600-meter leg (four laps) in that order. The total distance run is 4000 meters, or nearly 2.5 miles.

Nicholas DiMaria, Tom Selvaggi and Nick Zickgraf turned in the following times respectively:

It was the fastest time of any Division III school in 2018.
"The athletes really stepped up to the competition today, said track & field head coach
