Swiecki sets school-record in the men's heptathlon
Middlebury, VT – The Utica College track & field teams competed at the Middlebury College Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Utica's Kyle Swiecki set a new school-record in the men's heptathlon with a score of 4130 to place fifth overall. Swiecki posted 2332 individual points on day one to set the stage for his school-record breaking performance on Saturday. On Friday, he recorded a time of 7.63 in the men's 60-meter dash and he also posted a distance of 6.12 in the men's long jump. He added a distance of 9.21m in the shot put and also cleared 1.78m in the high jump. On Saturday, he recorded a fourth place finish in the hurdles with a time of 8.93, and he added a third place finish in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.30m. He wrapped up the weekend with a fourth place finish in the 1000m run (3:06.06).
