Both Sage Men and Women's Programs among Teams Honored with Prestigious Academic Award

Seven Empire 8 Conference Men's and Women's Soccer programs were among those recognized with the United Soccer Coaches Association Team Academic Awards it was announced recently. To be eligible for the award, a team had to post a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Sage was one of 191 schools nationally that had both their men's and women's programs recognized for their academic success. The Stevens women's soccer team posted the highest mark from the E8 last fall as the Ducks registered a 3.68 average GPA. That number was tied for 15th nationally of the 484 women's programs that were recognized across all three divisions.

In total, 773 soccer teams (289 men, 484 women) were recognized with the award
