Cortland Repeats as E8 Women's Golf Champions

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. - SUNY Cortland posted a two-day total of 667 to win the 2018 Empire 8 Women's Golf Championship in convincing fashion. It's the second straight title for the Red Dragons in the sport. They were led by medalist Danielle Bambola, who shot a 4 (148) over the two days of play. Suffolk finished second posting a 731 at the Ballston Spa Country Club, while Johnson & Wales (762) finished in third place just one shot ahead of St. John Fisher who finished fourth.

All four Cortland student-athletes that scored finished in the top ten overall, earning All-Conference honors. After Bambola, Tiffany Schapira finished tied for third, Mallory Rosch finished sixth, while Kristin Scali finished tenth overall.
