Football
Offensive Player – Joseph Ortiz, Brockport (Junior, Henrietta, N.Y.)
Ortiz had a record setting day in the Golden Eagles’ win over SUNY Cortland, locking up the 2018 Empire 8 title. The junior had a Brockport school-record 18-catches on the day for 170-yards of offense. Ortiz also surpassed the record for receptions in a career, with 225 in the win.  

Defensive Player – Rashad Baker, Brockport (Senior, Greenburgh, N.Y.)
Baker had a career day on Saturday, helping lead Brockport to the Empire 8 title with a game-winning interception. It was one of four picks on the day for the senior. He had three interceptions in the first half, two of which set up scoring drives in the first quarter for the Green and Gold. He capped his day, playing spoiler on Cortland’s final drive, intercepting the ball in the end-zone to put the finishing touches on the Brockport win. He also added three tackles, and two pass-breakups in a day that put him in the Brockport record books. Baker set the program record for pass deflections with 42 over the course of his career.
 
Special Teams Player -  Dylan Dubuque, Cortland (Sophomore, East Greenbush, N.Y.)
Dubuque blocked a punt that Cortland returned for a touchdown during its 21-16 loss at nationally third-ranked Brockport. The score gave Cortland an early 7-0 lead and marked the first time this season that Brockport trailed in a game.

Swimming & Diving
Men’s Athlete – Seth Farrand, Nazareth (Sophomore, Franklinville, N.Y.)
Farrand set three pool records at Hartwick Saturday as the Golden Flyers defeated the Hawks in a dual meet 167-127. He was part of four winning events and set Hartwick pool records in the 50 freestyle (:21.06) and the 100 freestyle (:46.73). He also anchored the 200-free relay that set a third pool record in 1:26.54. In addition, Farrand anchored the winning 200 medley relay that won in 1:36.94.

Women’s Athlete – Taylor Robey, Nazareth (Sophomore, Hurley, N.Y.)
Robey was part of four winning events as the Golden Flyers defeated Hartwick Saturday 164-127. She won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles in :24.85 and :54.55 respectively. She also anchored Nazareth's winning 200-medley and 200 free relays with 50 freestyle splits of :24.22 and :24.07. Nazareth is 3-0.
