Ten Empire 8 Soccer Programs Recognized as Team Academic Award Winners

Elmira, Sage, and Stevens Have Both Men's and Women's Teams Recognized 

Ten Empire 8 Conference men's and women's soccer programs were recently recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as 2017-18 College Team Academic Award winners. To be recognized with this distinction, a team must post a grade point average of 3.0 or greater.

To see the complete list of E8 programs that were recognized, along with their team GPA, please see below. In total, 824 programs (310 men's and 514 women's) were honored.

Three schools had both men's and women's teams recognized - Elmira, Sage, and Stevens. Overall, the Stevens' women's soccer team posted the highest team GPA as the Ducks averaged a 3.68 in the classroom following the 2017-18 academic year. The Houghton women's team was second among E8 schools with a 3.52, slightly ahead of the Hartwick women with a 3.51
