Stevens Women’s Basketball draws No. 16 Rochester in NCAAs

HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 26, 2018) – Less than one week after winning the Empire 8 Conference title and the accompanying automatic bid into the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team will once again travel to Rochester, New York for postseason basketball, after drawing No. 16 University of Rochester in the first round. The first-ever meeting between the programs is scheduled for Friday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Louis Alexander Palestra.
The Yellow Jackets are making their third straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the 15th in program history. Rochester concluded the regular season with a 21-4 mark, including am 11-3 record in the University Athletic Association. Stevens returns to the national tournament for the first time in two seasons and for the fifth time in program history.
Should Stevens advance, the Ducks will face the winner of the game between No. 20 Marymount (VA) University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the second round.
