Full Teams
Rochester, NY – Nazareth senior guard Samantha Peebles was named First Team Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) last week.
CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams are designed to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. As a member of the Academic All-District III First Team, Peebles will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in March.
A Communication and Media major, Peebles holds a 3.71 GPA in the classroom. She was one of just five student-athletes in District 3 (NY) to be recognized with the award.
Last week, Peebles was recognized as the Co-Player of the Year in the Empire 8 Conference after leading Nazareth with 18.2 points per game. She canned 455 points during her senior campaign, including 138 free throws made, ranking her fourth in the country. The Syracuse, NY native finished her career with 1,085 points.
