E8 Spotlight: Lu Krawczyk
The Empire 8 Conference is full of talented student-athletes and the E8 Spotlight is one way for fans to get to know them.
Lu Krawczyk (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca) is a junior on the Alfred University softball team.
Why did you choose to attend Alfred? I loved the small campus size and Alfred provided a great academic opportunity.
What has been the greatest part of your experience as student-athlete? Playing the games in the warm weather over spring break.
Who has been the most influential person during your athletic career? Why? My father. He was always there for my games and behind the backstop coaching during my games. Unfortunately, he passed a few years ago, but was able to make it to a lot of Alfred games when I was a freshman and that was awesome.
Where do you see yourself in five years? I hope to be working in professional sports, especially the NFL, doing game day management or event management.
What do you like most about competing in the E8? The Empire 8 is a great league to play in with lots of competition.
What do you do in your spare time? Watch Netflix
Top 3 things on your bucket list? 1.) Swim with sharks 2.) Visit the Mediterranean 3.) unknown
What is something most people don’t know about you? I am open book, but people may not know that I am named after my great grandmother Laura Rose Elizabeth Krawczyk.
