BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA – Two members of the St. John Fisher College men's track and field team earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday. The Cardinals finished the championship meet with 18 points overall, tying the team for ninth overall of 99 teams represented.

Senior Peter Girardi was up first for the Cardinals on the day, as he competed in the 60-meter hurdles event. Girardi would end up finishing in sixth place overall with a time of 8.20 seconds. The time put him just two hundredths of a second behind the fifth place finisher from SUNY Cortland and earned Girardi the All-American recognition.

Freshman Kyle Rollins would be up next for the Cardinals. The Groveland native would leap an impressive 2.10 meters (6'10.75 inches) to place him fourth overall. The jump would give Rollins the All-American honors as well.

After Friday's Mark VanMarter national championship finish, the Cardinals return home with three All-American performances.
