BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 10, 2018) – Katie Weeks earned her second All-America distinction in as many days and Gina Dello Russo earned two All-America nods in an hour to highlight a 20th-place finish for the Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field program at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.
The Ducks finished 20th in the country as a team this week despite getting points in the national meet from only Dello Russo and Weeks.

Weeks took seventh in shot put with a toss of 13.77 meters. She was the last athlete to qualify for the final (ninth) and stayed in that position until her final throw, which jumped her up two places and into All-American status.
The Toms River native was also an All-American in the weight throw on Friday.
Dello Russo earned her first and second All-American honors in less than one hour. Her 400 meter race included the national record holder, Wadeline Jonathas.
As the one-lap race began, Dello Russo went out with her and even started to close the gap over the last 50 meters, but was nipped at the line in a late surge by Kaylee Jones of Nebraska Wesleyan. A pair of athletes from Heat 1 ran faster, so her final position was fifth overall with a time of 55.52.
The 200-meter race started just 50 minutes later. Dello Russo finished third in Heat 1 of the finals, and was bumped to seventh overall by time from those in Heat 2. Her time was 25.17 seconds.
"Today was an incredible day for Stevens TF," said head coach
Justin Wood. "This is the first time we've had five All-Americans (previous best was 4 from 2014) and the first All-American in men's program history. We are so proud of all of them for their hard work and for the success they earned this weekend."
