NFHCA Academic Squad and Scholars of Distinction
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and Zag Field Hockey have announced individual academic honors for the Fall 2017 semester.
The
National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year. The Empire 8 had 75 student-athletes earn the honor.

A total of 242 Division III field hockey players in the country earned the
Scholar of Distinction award and the Empire 8 had 16 student-athletes earn the accolade. To be named a Gladiator NFCHA Scholar of Distinction, the student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.90 through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
