Prescott 32nd in 100 Breaststroke

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 23, 2018) – Swimming in her second of three events Friday, Stevens Institute of Technology senior Kaitlynn Prescott finished 32nd in the 100-yard breastroke at the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium.
The Escondido, California native completed the race in 1:06.61, a hair behind her seed time of 1:05.70. Denison University's KT Kustritz posted the top preliminary time of 1:00.63 to head into Friday evening's championship race as the favorite. The sophomore bested the field in the championship race by over two seconds to be declared a national champion.
The senior will complete her first national experience with her top event: Saturday's 200-yard breaststroke, where she holds the 16th fastest seed time of 2:20.13.
