Dietz Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week
ITHACA, N.Y. – D3baseball.com released its
Team of the Week late Monday night and sophomore catcher
Chris Dietz from the Ithaca College program was one of 15 players in Division III to land on the weekly team.
Dietz, who only recorded three at bats up until April 15, has since batted .470 (7-for-18) with eight RBI, eight runs scored five doubles and a home run.
This past week, Dietz went 4-for-8 (.500) with five runs scored, six RBI, two doubles and a home run in a 2-1 week for Ithaca. He slugged 1.125 with two doubles and his first career home run. He was perfect behind the plate, throwing out one runner attempting to swipe an extra base.
Ithaca heads to Oswego this afternoon for a non-conference game at 4 p.m. and then travels to Rochester tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. The Bombers will then play at home on Thursday against UR at 4 p.m.
