2018 Men's Lacrosse Tournament Field Set
On the final day of the Empire 8 regular season the seeding for the men's lacrosse postseason tournament has been decided.
The two semifinals matches will take place on Wednesday, May 2 on the campuses of Stevens Institute of Technology and St. John Fisher College. The two semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, May 5 in the Empire 8 Championship on the campus of the highest remaining seed. The winner will earn an the NCAA automatic bid and advance to the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
Stevens had the top seed secured last week and finished out its perfect E8 record with a win over Houghton in the regular season finale.
Alfred University, Hartwick College and St. John Fisher College all earned wins today and finished with a 5-2 league record. The record against the three tied teams put each team at 1-1, resulting in a comparison of goals against the three tied teams. Fisher allowed the fewest goals against giving them the No. 2 seed and Alfred and Hartwick were compared head to head. The Saxons defeated the Hawks in the regular season to secure the No. 3 seed, ultimately putting the Hawks at No. 4.

** If Stevens is the finals the game will be 5:30 pm as Stevens is hosting two women's semi-finals that day. If Fisher or Alfred end up hosting the final, game time will be Noon.
