Ferguson Breaks Her Own School Record at Geneseo

Geneseo, NY – The Utica College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Geneseo Beautiful Valley Invite hosted by SUNY Geneseo on Thursday. Junior Molly Ferguson (Abington, MA/Abington High School) broke her own school-record in the discus with a AARTFC Championships qualifying toss of 39.39 meters to place first in the competition.

UC's 4x100 meter relay team of Jayme Connolly (Bethpage, NY/Our Lady of Mercy Academy), Tekitha Posey (Rome, NY/RFA), Anaelle Amy (Brooklyn, NY/Prospect Heights) and Michelle Rodriguez-Mendez (Utica, NY/Proctor) placed second with a AARTFC Championships qualifying and season best time of 49.23.

Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) was the lone competitor in the javelin and posted a regional qualifying toss of 35.44 meters. Anaelle Amy (Brooklyn, NY/Prospect Heights) registered a time of 12.70 and placed fourth in the 100 meter dash.

Utica's Alexis Albano (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) placed fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.85. Abigail Guidarelli (Farmington, NY/Victor) placed third with a clearance of 1.50 in the high jump, while Stephanie Feathers (Petersburg, NY/New Lebanon) placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.00 meters.
