Geneseo, NY – The Utica College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Geneseo Beautiful Valley Invite hosted by SUNY Geneseo on Thursday.

Utica's Keanu Heedram (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) had a huge day in the circle as he broke the school-record and placed first in both the shot put and the discus.  He broke his own school-record and moved into 15th on the national outdoor qualifying list with a toss of 16.06 meters in the shot put. He also broke his own school-record and moved into 28th on the national outdoor qualifying list with a discus throw of 48.41 meters.

Nicholas Ashton (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) came up big in the 800 meter run as he placed second and qualified for regionals with a time of 1:56.71.

Tyler Mosher (Brewerton, NY/Cicero North Syracuse) improved on his shot put distance with a toss of 14.80 meters. Sam Bonk (Williamsville, NY/Clarence) placed second in the men's hammer throw with a season-best toss of 50.80 meters.

Jordan Smith (Tolland, CT/Tolland High School) moved into 37th on the national outdoor qualifying list and narrowly missed out on breaking his own school-record as he posted a first place distance of 57.39 meters in the javelin.

Alex Luckoo (Central Islip, NY/Central Islip) narrowly missed out on qualifying for regionals in the 200 meter dash as he posted a personal best time of 22.53 in the 200 meter dash to take home fourth place. Brenden Moore (Cocoa, FL/Space Coast) came in just behind Luckoo with a time of 22.66.

Utica's 4x100 meter relay team of Carlton Woodie (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot), Brenden Moore (Cocoa, FL/Space Coast), Kevin Gangemi (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central High School) and Ka'Sean Watlington (Bayport, NY/Bayport-Bluepoint) posted a season-best and AARTFC Championship qualifying time of 42.50 to place second.

Ka'Sean Watlington (Bayport, NY/Bayport-Bluepoint) placed first in the triple jump with a distance of 14.47 meters.
