24 Athletes and Six Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Twenty-four Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) student athletes, four women's teams and two men's teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

A total of 627 women and 408 men from Division III earned the individual all-acdemic honor.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

The Empire 8 had four of the 185 women's teams awarded academic accolades, while two of the 106 men's teams honored were from the E8. In order to be in the running for Scholar Team of the Year, a team must finish highly at the respective national championship and have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.
