Recap: The Hawks scored three goals in each half and totaled 40 shots on Saturday in a 6-0 Empire 8 victory over host Elmira. Perry Willett (Huntington, VT/Mount Mansfield Union) led the Hawks with a hat-trick and an assist. Katie Meuse (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry) added a goal and two helpers while Allyson Quirk (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow) chipped in a goal and an assist. Allyson Osborne (Nottingham, PA/Solanco) made three saves in the shutout. Quirk tipped in a Willett pass 4:46 into the game to give the Hawks the early lead. Willett scored from Meuse twice in a 2:28 span later in the half to push the lead to three. Meuse then tallied off a Quirk feed 11 and a half minutes into the second half. Willett netted her third of the game less than four minutes later off of Rebecca Peakes' (West Chester, PA/Unionville) corner. Emily Schaub (Brewster, NY/Brewster) capped off the scoring with her first collegiate goal at the 56:55 mark. Lavaisha Sparrow (Dover Plains, NYDover) earned the assist.
