UC Cross Country Impresses at Mitchell Invitational
New London, CT – The Utica College men and women's cross country teams both took home first place overall with impressive all-around performances from the runners. The women's team had the first nine runners to finish the race, while the men had the top eight runners at the event.
Kaitlyn Stinson took first place overall for the women, with a final time of 19:15.50. Renee Lewis took second finishing in 19:37.10, while teammate Jessica Ostrowski came in third with a mark of 20:25.90. Jenessa McCabe earned fourth, Kristin Daino fifth, Maggie Reid sixth, Laura Levi seventh, Sara Michelsen eighth, and Elizabeth Darling came in ninth.
On the men's side Mitchell Marlow finished first with a mark of 16:28.80, just beating out teammate Tyler Wright's second place time of 16:29.20. Nick Ashton placed third, Tyler Sutton fourth, Kyle Engelhart fifth, Liam Rodgers sixth, Daniel Block seventh, and Hunter Reed eighth.
The Pioneers now prepare for the Saratoga Invitational in Saratoga Springs, NY, hosted by RPI. The competition is scheduled for Saturday, September 29
th.
