ONEONTA, N.Y. (September 22, 2018)  – Senior Misha Brewster recorded her third career multi-goal game, sophomore Erica McCarthy earned her first career clean sheet, and the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team moved to 2-0 in the Empire 8 Conference with a 2-0 victory over Hartwick College Saturday at Elmore Field.

Brewster provided the game's only offense over a 15-minute stretch in the first half. Senior Olivia Butera began the play with a crossing ball, which was headed towards the net by classmate Olivia Butera. Brewster received the header and found an open net to bury her second goal of the year.

Brewster added what would prove to be an insurance goal in the 22nd minute, one-timing Komar's crossing ball right at the six-yard line.

The two-goal lead would be more than enough for McCarthy, who made four saves in her second career start.

The win improved Stevens' record to 4-2 on the year and a perfect 2-0 in conference. Hartwick fell to 5-2-1 on the year and suffered its first E8 setback in two matches.

Cassandra Robataille made two saves for Hartwick.
