ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth erupted for a season-high five goals Tuesday in a non-conference men's soccer match against Morrisville State as the Golden Flyers won for the third straight time, 5-0 over the Mustangs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Five different players scored for the Golden Flyers, who improved to 6-2-1 overall. Freshman Zein Mohamed had a goal and two assists and freshman Sam Smyth added one goal and one assist.
- Sophomore Connor Mann and freshman Colin Brickwood each netted their first career goals in the second half. Freshman Glenn Ramos also scored.
- Junior goalkeeper Brian Wilkin, the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week, needed just two saves to gain his third straight shutout win and fifth overall this season.
- Nazareth led 1-0 at halftime, then broke loose for four second-half goals.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Nazareth had a the better of the play most of the way, evidenced by a 22-4 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
- Morrisville keeper Tyler Gaines was called upon to make five saves.
- Smyth scored his team-leading fourth goal in the 22nd minute to break the scoreless deadlock. Mohamed threaded a pass through the midfield and Smyth broke free for a one-on-one opportunity and converted.
- Mohamed scored his third goal of the season in the 62nd minute with assists from Smyth and Jake Adams.
- Later in the half, Mohamed directed a corner kick onto the foot of Mann, who buried a close range shot for his first career goal.
- Ramos scored in the 82nd minute following a scramble in the box and Brickwood, shortly after being inserted into the game, scored by heading in a corner kick from the foot of senior AJ Muoio.

- Nazareth has won three straight and is unbeaten in its last four games (3-0-1).
- All four results have been shutouts, giving the Golden Flyers a string of nearly 400 minutes without allowing a goal.
