UTICA, NY – Junior transfer Mikayla Blumenstock scored the game-winner 6:03 into the first overtime period to help the Utica College women's soccer team complete the comeback and defeat visiting Cazenovia College 2-1 in non-conference action at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium Wednesday night.  Gabrielle Esposito assisted on Blumenstock's winner at 96:03.

Utica (4-3-2, 1-0-1 E8) has now won two in a row and the Pioneers are unbeaten in six of their last seven contests. UC heads to Empire 8 foe Houghton College on Saturday to take on the Highlanders at 3:30 p.m.

Utica sophomore defender Summer Gagnon netted her first collegiate goal at 70:50 to tie the game at 1-1. Gagnon's game-tying tally was sent into the box off a corner kick from Emma Workman and senior Jenna Mazza had a nice touch to Gagnon at the goal mouth to equalize.

Cazenovia (7-2) snapped a two-game winning streak after the loss on Wednesday. After 60 minutes of scoreless action, Mckenzie Lidell got the Wildcats on the board when she knocked home a rebound to give the visitors a 1-0 second half advantage. Lidell's third goal of the season was assisted by the nation's leading scorer, Michaela Breeze.

UC goalie Allison Wagner stopped three shots in the victory.  Caitlin Kelleher and Alyssa Connolly combined for nine saves in net for the visitors.

The Pioneers earned large shot advantage on the evening (25-8) and also drew six corners compared to Cazenovia's one.
