Release of E8 President's List Proves Conference's Student-Athletes Continue to Standout in the Classroom

More than 800 Student-Athletes Honored with Prestigious Academic Honor
The Empire 8 Conference announced its President’s List for the Fall 2018 semester and 817 student-athletes representing the league's nine full-time members and 10 affiliate institutions were recognized for their contributions on the field and their excellence in the classroom. Stevens led the way with 164 student-athletes honored. This semester's President's List included representatives from each of the conference's 23 sports.
CLOSER LOOK
Recipients of the E8 President's List distinction must earn at least a 3.75 grade point average, while participating in a conference-sponsored sport. Additionally, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.

Chuck Mitrano. "Our membership's commitment to academic success is unparalleled, and these numbers prove that once again."
As mentioned above, Stevens led the way with 164 student-athletes recognized. They were followed by St. John Fisher, whcih had 135. Nazareth (94) and Utica (93) finished third and fourth respectively in total number honored.
