Individual tickets are now available for purchase for the annual Courage Bowl. The game, which celebrates its 15th season in 2019, will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Growney Stadium on the campus of St. John Fisher College, as the Cardinals take on The College at Brockport under the lights.
Individual tickets are still available but time is running out. Tickets, which are $5 apiece, can be purchased in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or by phone at
(585) 385-8315. Season ticket holders do not need to purchase additional tickets for this game.
The Courage Bowl, which has become one of Division III's most anticipated contests, directly benefits Camp Good Days, which is a not-for-profit organization that provides thousands of children with cancer the opportunity to come together in a residential camping experience to be with the only ones who could truly understand what they were going through – other children with cancer. Since its founding by former Fisher assistant coach Gary Mervis, Camp Good Days has impacted more than 45,000 campers from 22 states and 29 countries. With a small group of paid employees, Camp Good Days is a volunteer-based organization. To avoid placing any additional financial burden on the families served, all of the programs are offered free of charge for the participants.
This season's contest promises to be a memorable one as both teams enter the matchup sporting a 3-1 overall record. The Golden Eagles are the two-time defending Empire 8 Champions.
