FINAL RESULTS

Stevens Men Claim Seventh-Straight E8 Championship 

The Nazareth Women's team and the Stevens Men's team claimed titles as the 2019 Empire 8 Conference Swimming & Diving Championships culminated Saturday night in Webster, New York. It's the seventh-straight title for the Stevens' men's program and second straight for the Nazareth women.

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
Nazareth surged to a second straight Empire 8 Conference title in women's swimming and diving Saturday as the Golden Flyers held off Stevens over the four-day event to score 924 points at Webster Aquatic Center.

Nazareth sophomore Taylor Robey was named Swimmer of the Meet and freshman Allie Norwood was named Diver of the Meet while third-year head coach Scott Whitbeck was named Coach of the Meet.

In securing the title, Nazareth got another school-record performance from Robey in the 100 freestyle as she shattered her own mark with an NCAA qualifying time of :51.17. She also anchored the 400 free relay that placed second in 3:37.58. Freshmen Erin Spina and Paige Pasquarella also swam in the race along with sophomore Kathryn Batz.

Nazareth's Brittany Heffler also swam to a conference title in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.86).

MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
Stevens registered eight top-three finishes during the final day of competition to capture the program's seventh-straight Empire 8 Conference Championship.

Junior Tyler Zanki was named the Male Swimmer of the Meet, while Ducks' head coach Paul Hughes earned Men's Coach of the Meet. Zanki registered his second "B" cut time of the meet in the 200-yard breaststroke with his first-place finish at 2:00.43.

Stevens' 400-yard freestyle relay squad finished first after touching the wall at 3:04.07.
