March 18 – March 24


Baseball
Player – Webb Little, Ithaca (Senior, Syracuse, N.Y.)
Little went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs scored and two walks in a doubleheader sweep of Utica on Sunday. In the 4-2 opener, he was 1-for-2 with an RBI and walk. In the nightcap, Little belted a three-run home run in the first inning on his way to a 2-for-3 game with four RBI and two runs.

Pitcher – Danny Poidomani, Stevens (Senior, Rochelle Park, N.J.)
Poidomani struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings in Stevens' 5-4 win over Elmira to earn his first victory on the mound. The Rochelle Park, New Jersey native did not allow an earned run in the win and now leads the Ducks with a 2.25 ERA. 
 
Rookie – Sutton Dole, Stevens (Freshman, Houston, Texas)
Dole posted a .308 batting average over Stevens' 3-0 weekend. The Houston, Texas native registered four RBI over the three games, tallying two on Saturday's second game and two on Sunday. He scored five runs over the three games, and collected his second double of the year in the Ducks' 10-1 victory over Elmira. It's the second consecutive week he's been honored with thie award from the league office.

Men's Lacrosse
Player – David Baraniuk, Sage (Freshman, Budd Lake, N.J.)
On the week, Sage went 2-1 and Baraniuk led the Gators with 20 points on 13 goals and seven assists. He had a .565 shot percentage on the week. Baraniuk added a game winner and registered seven ground balls on the week.
 
Goalkeeper – Michael Capitelli, Sage (Freshman, Oceanside, N.Y.)
Capitelli was 1-0 in two appearances last week for the Gators. He had 13 saves with an 8.33 GAA in 65 minutes of work. He got the win in Sage's come from behind 18-12 road win over Wells.
 
Women's Lacrosse
Player – Emma Knapp, Hartwick (Senior, Canandaigua, N.Y.)
Knapp led the Hawks with 14 points over two games last week. In Tuesday's 19-8 win over Plattsburgh, she tied for a game-high three goals on a seven shots and had an assist, picking up three ground balls, causing a game-high four turnovers, and controlling two draws as well. She had a monster day in Saturday's 21-7, E8-opening win over Houghton, outscoring the Highlanders herself with a career-high 10 goals on 14 shots, of which eight tallies came in the first half. She also contributed elsewhere with three ground balls and three draw controls.

Goalkeeper – Hali Vandermeulen, Utica (Junior, Walden, N.Y.)
Vandermeulen turned away 37 of 58 shots for Utica, while backstopping the Pioneers to three wins last week. In Monday's 19-7 win against SUNY Poly, she stopped 11 of 18 shots for the Pioneers. The following day, she repeated the performance in an 11-7 win against Oswego. On Sunday, she made a season high 15 saves to help Utica defeat Stevens for the first time in school history. 
 
Softball
Player – McKenzie Marti, Houghton (Junior, Lowville, N.Y.)
Marti was outstanding in the only game she appeared in last week. The junior went 5-6 at the plate and scored five runs, while driving in another in the Highlanders' impressive win.
 
Pitcher – Katerina Lagace, Sage (Sophomore, Newington, Conn.)
Lagace collected a complete game win as she struck out seven in Sage's 3-1 win over Westfield State this past week in her only appearance. She allowed just three hits and no earned runs with just one walk in the effort. Lagce held WSU to a .120 batting average in the game.
 
Men's Tennis
Player – Curtis Harris, Elmira (Freshman, Odessa, N.Y.)
Harris went 3-1 in a pair of non-conference matches last week. He went 2-0 against Penn College, earning his first career doubles win at the No. 2 position by an 8-5 score. Harris won both singles matches he played, beating Penn's No. 3 player 6-0, 6-2, before grinding out a third singles victory at Delhi, 6-1, 7-5.
 
Outdoor Track & Field
Men's Track Athlete – Alex Spicer, Alfred (Freshman, Corning, N.Y.)
Spicer continued his sprinting successes in the outdoor season as he beat Division II and Division III student-athletes at the California University of Pennsylvania Early Bird Invitational. He took fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.20, while earning sixth-place with a 22.71 finish in the 200-meter dash. He also teamed with Papa Dioum, Jackson Trimboli and Rashid Abuelmaali in the 4x100-meter relay for sixth place with a time of 45.49.
 
Men's Field Athlete – Zac Mapes, Alfred (Graduate, Queensbury, N.Y.)
Mapes led the Saxon field athletes on Saturday at the California University of Pennsylvania Early Bird Outdoor Invitational against Division II and Division III competitors. He finished seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 12.14m. He also took 16th in the long jump with a distance of 5.60m.
 
Women's Track Athlete – Kerry Flower, Sage (Freshman, Schenectady, N.Y.)
In the 5,000 meter run at the Wesleyan University Classic, Flower used the success of having earned Empire 8 Second Team All-Star acclaim in cross country to take third place in her first race with the track team. She posted a time of 19:02.96 to set the school record. She bettered the time set in 2018 by her team mate Sagan Leggett a year ago (20:27.12).
 
Women's Field Athlete – Alycia Eaton, Nazareth (Senior, Remsen, N.Y.)
Eaton recorded a pair of first-place finishes to lead Nazareth to a second-place finish at the Jack Toms Alumni Invitational at Lynchburg. She won the long jump with a leap of 5.38 meters (17 feet, 8 inches) and triple jump with a leap of 11.13 meters (36 feet, 6 1/4 inches). She also ran on the 4x400-meter relay that finished second.
 
Men's Volleyball
Co-Player – Tyler Farnung, Nazareth (Senior, Rochester, N.Y.)
Farnung helped the Golden Flyers to three victories last week by totaling 141 assists (10.85 per set) against Elmira, D'Youville, and Daemen. He had 46 assists in a four-set win at Elmira last Wednesday, then 42 more in four sets at D'Youville. He had a career-high 53 assists as Nazareth rallied from a two-set deficit to defeat Daemen in five sets. He also had 10 kills, four aces and 14 digs for the week. 
 
Co-Player – Mike Basile, Sage (Sophomore, Feeding Hills, Mass.)
Basile helped lead Sage to a 2-0 week by leading the team with his 31.5 points and 30 kills ovee the two matches. He had a .356 attack percentage to go with 15 digs. Basile averaged 3.75 kills/set and 1.88 digs/set on the week.
 
Rookie – Jordan Hildreth, Nazareth (Freshman, Penfield, N.Y.)
Hildreth posted a .317 hitting percentage (28-8-63) as Nazareth recorded road wins over Elmira, D'Youville, and Daemen last week. Included in his numbers was a career-high 13 kills in a five-set win over Daemen last Friday. He also had 24 digs and six blocks.
