Seven E8 Schools - Led by Stevens - Appear in Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Standings Following Winter Season
Stevens Leads League and Checks in at 40th in the Nation
Seven Empire 8 Conference member institutions appear in the most recent edition of the Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings, which were released earlier today. Stevens has earned 250 points, and is currently ranked 40th nationally. The standings award athletic departments' points based on NCAA Tournament qualification and success.
CLOSER LOOK
Stevens leads the seven E8 members which currently appear in the rankings. They are followed by Elmira (166th), Utica (171st), Alfred (181st), St. John Fisher (206th), and Hartwick and Nazareth (tied for 236th). Stevens earned valuable points in fencing and men's and women's indoor track and field this winter.
Johns Hopkins currently leads the standings as they have scored 804.25 points through the winter sports season.
The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
