Stevens' Andrew Amerman Earns NCAA's Elite 90 Award at Men’s Volleyball Championship
The Junior Currently Has a 4.0 Grade Point Average, while Majoring in Computer Engineering

Andrew Amerman is the recipient of the Elite 90 Award for the 2019 Division III Men's Volleyball Championship, as announced Thursday evening at the NCAA Championship banquet. Majoring in Computer Engineering, Amerman currently carries a 4.0 GPA. The Bridgewater, New Jersey native was presented with the award during the Men's Volleyball banquet Thursday night at Kean University.

Alexander Carpenter was a two-time recipient, earning the award in 2014 and 2015. It's the sixth Elite 90 award in the history of the Stevens athletic department.
"Andrew is a stellar student-athlete," expressed head coach
Patrick Dorywalski. "He is the guy you to to if you need something done on or off the court. He works tirelessly for our sports media office and is one of the top NCAA statisticians in the area. He often is hired by Division I universities to do statistics for their events. Congratulation to Andrew on his academic success."
The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above, who have participated in their sport for at least two years with their school. They must be an active member of the team, traveling and a designated member of the squad size at the championship. All ties are broken by the number of credits completed.
