St. John Fisher, Stevens Share E8 Softball Regular Season Title, Ducks Earn Top Seed Based on Tiebreaker as Championship Field is Announced
CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
St. John Fisher and Stevens both finished the E8 portion of their 2019 Softball schedule with identical marks at 12-2 and have each earned a share of the 2019 E8 Regular Season title. By virtue of the conference's tie-breaking protocol measures, this year's championshpi tournament will be hosted by Stevens this coming Friday through Sunday, May 3-5. The double-elmination tournament will culminate this Sunday afternoon, with the winner earning the conference's automatic qualifying bid into the 2019 NCAA Tournament field.

St. John Fisher and Stevens split a double-header Sunday afternoon, with Fisher taking game one before the Ducks took the nightcap. As a result, both teams finished with marks of 12-2 in conference play and the tiebreker protocol led to Stevens earning the top seed.
Alfred earned the three seed, following a 9-5 mark in E8 play, while Nazareth finished conference play with a mark of 6-8 and is the number four seed after splitting with Utica earlier today. The Golden Flyers earned the final spot in the tournament field by virtue of their tiebreaker placing over the Pioneers.
