Stevens, St. John Fisher Lead the Way Among E8 Members in Final Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

Ducks Finish 29th Nationally Following Tremendous 2018-19 Academic Year
Seven Empire 8 Conference members appeared in the final 2018-19 Learfield Directors' Cup standings, led by Stevens which finished 29th overall. The Ducks accumulated 472.50 points during the academic year to lead all E8 members. St. John Fisher was second in the conference with 338.50 points, which placed them 54th in the nation.

CLOSER LOOK
Stevens, which recently was named the E8 Commissioner's Cup winner for department-wide success, had another terrific year. The Ducks earned 100 points in the fall, 150 in the winter, and then 222.50 this spring. Also appearing from the E8 were: Utica, Elmira, Alfred, Hartwick and Nazareth as each was awarded points throughout the academic year. The seven schools appearing is an increase over last year's performance within the conference as five schools were ranked in the final standings a year ago.
The Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Williams won the overall Directors' Cup title, accumulating 1117 total points. Johns Hopkins finished second with 1064.75 points.
