Baseball
Player – Cam Fuoti, Ithaca (Senior, Summit, N.J.)
Fuoti hit .667 (6-for-9) in two games for Ithaca, with three runs scored, two RBI and two doubles. In a 9-3 win over St. Lawrence, he went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, an RBI and double. He then went 3-for-4 with a double, run scored and RBI in a 13-1 win over Utica.
Pitcher – Nick Cottone, Elmira (Senior, Toms River, N.J.)
Cottone won his third game of the season, a career high, by taking the decision in a 10-4 victory over Utica in the 2019 finale. He tossed 7 and allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits. He struck out 10, while walking only one. Cottone added to his single-season program record for strikeouts, which is now stands at 70, while his season ERA is tied for the third-lowest among qualified pitchers in team history.
Rookie – Mason Ryan, Elmira (Freshman, Endicott, N.Y.)
Ryan posted a .320 average, with eight hits, including four doubles, and seven runs scored, while tying for team lead with four stolen bases in six games. He scored a run in Elmira's 4-3 win over Canton on Monday and had one hit in the nightcap. He posted a season-high three hits in games over Keuka and Utica during the week. Ryan set a program record for doubles in a game with three against the Pioneers to go along with two RBIs and two runs in a 10-4 victory.
