Fisher's Ashley Prince Earns E8 Softball Championship MVP to Headline All-Championship Team

St. John Fisher senior Ashley Prince was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2019 Empire 8 Conference Softball Championship, as the league announced the All-Championship team today. Prince was one of four Fisher student-athletes from the E8 Champions, who earned the title yesterday afternoon in a winner-take-all game.

CLOSER LOOK
Prince had at least one hit in each of Fisher's four championship games. The senior went 6-15 over the weekend, and scored four runs and drove in three as well. Her biggest game of the championship weekend came in Fisher's win over Stevens during Saturday's winners' bracket game in which she drove in all three Cardinals' runs in their 3-2 win.

Prince and the Cardinals won their third consecutive E8 title on Sunday, and now await word on who they'll take on in the upcoming NCAA Tournament field.
