Alfred and Nazareth Women’s Swimming and Diving Programs Garner CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Honor

Both the Alfred University and Nazareth College women’s swimming and diving teams earned 2019 Scholar All-America Team accolades by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their work in the classroom during the Fall 2019 semester.
 
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) selected a record 762 programs from 480 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2019 semester. Over 60 percent of the selections (470 teams) were women’s programs. Teams were selected on the basis of their Fall 2019 grade-point averages, which must be a 3.0 or better and represent 17,685 student-athletes.  
 
Alfred recorded a team GPA of 3.18 during the fall semester to lead the Empire 8, while Nazareth was right behind with a 3.15 mark.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches.
