Senior midfielder Lindsay Scott of the St. John Fisher College field hockey team was named a 2019-20  College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA) Academic At-Large All-District Team selection on May 21.

To be considered, a student-athlete must have reached their sophomore year and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30.  Nominees must have also made a significant impact on their team's success on the field of play. Scott becomes the 12th Empire 8 student-athlete to earn CoSIDA Academic All-Region honors in 2019-20

The nursing major, who carried a 3.78 grade-point average, put together a spectacular 2019 season as Scott racked up a slew of awards and recognition. The senior was named First-Team All-Region, Empire 8 Player of the Year, First-Team All-Empire 8 and was selected to play in the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game. The Webster, NY native averaged the second-most assists per game in the country and tied for the second-most assists overall (19). The midfielder's facilitating skills helped the Cardinals lead the conference with 69 goals, which established a new program record for a single season.

Scott was also capable of putting the ball in the back of the net as she registered a career-high nine goals of her own throughout 2019. The senior ended the season with 37 points, which was the third-most in the league and tied for the seventh-most in a single season in the Cardinals' history.

One of the most productive players in program history, Scott, who was named the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year in 2016, ended her collegiate career as the program's all-time leader for assists (33) and ranks fifth on the points list (69). Over four seasons, she garnered three First-Team All-Empire 8 selections, two All-Region honors and would go on to be named the Empire 8 Player of the Year and an All-American.
