Former St. John Fisher College baseball stars Justin D'Amato and Scott Eisenmenger were named to the D3baseball.com All-Decade Team among the 82 former student-athletes recognized. The teams are comprised of those who competed across Division III between 2010 and 2020.
D'Amato, a 2014 graduate of St. John Fisher and former All-American was named Second-Team All-Decade after a standout career on the hill for Fisher.
One of the College's most decorated players, D'Amato originally signed to play Division I baseball at Niagara University before transferring to Fisher to play under head coach
Brandon Potter. While at Fisher, D'Amato was named an All-American three times and was named Baseball America's Division III Pitcher of the Year in 2013. The Canandaigua, NY native set numerous program records during his tenure including all-time wins (36) and strikeouts (325). D'Amato's win total ranked ninth all-time in NCAA Division III history at the time of his graduation while his strikeout total ranked 19th.
Former infielder Scott Eisenmenger was also named Second-Team All-Decade after accumulating 225 hits, 56 doubles, 41 home runs and 205 RBI over 175 games played.
A four-time All-Region honoree, Eisenmenger wrapped up one of the most prolific careers in Fisher history in 2018. Eisenmenger, who was named the Empire 8 Player of the Year in 2017 and the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2015, led the Empire 8 Conference and was among the New York Region's top players in multiple categories including a career-high in home runs (12), RBI (58), slugging percentage (.679) and total bases (106). The Hilton native ranked second on the team and was among the Empire 8's leaders in batting average at .346 while his 54 base hits this season was the fifth-highest total among all conference players at the conclusion of the 2017 campaign. Against Brockport on April 11th, 2017 he became just the seventh active player in Division III to record 200 career hits after going 3-for-5 with five RBI.
A four-time First-Team All-Conference designee by the Empire 8, Eisenmenger rewrote the Fisher record books during his time in a Cardinals' uniform. To date, he ranks as the program's all-time leader in home runs (41), doubles (56), RBI (205), hits (225 – tied with Andy Campbell) and games played (175) while his 146 runs scored is the third-most in Fisher's storied history.
