Senior Samba Doukhansy returns for his fourth season with the Keuka College men's soccer team in 2020-21. Doukhansy, a forward, was named First Team All-North Eastern Athletic Conference for Keuka in 2018 after scoring 13 goals, including a league-best 10 in conference play. He also tallied five game-winning goals, wghich tied for second-most in a season in program history.
Doukhansy, a native of Dakar, Senegal, came to the United States in 2012 and served as team captain for Crotona International High School in Bronx, NY. Doukhansy also earned All-NEAC third team honors in 2017 and has 21 goals and 46 points in 51 career games for the Wolves.

I worked at AutoZone to stay active and also trained with a club team in the South Bronx.
What Role has Soccer Played in your Personal Development?
Soccer has helped me develop my leadership skills and time management skills.
At what age did you start playing Soccer and what made you stay with it?
I started playing competitive soccer when I was six years old and haven’t stopped. It’s the national sport of Senegal, therefore everyone plays it.
Any Superstitions When It Comes to Pregame Rituals/Training?
I listen to a specific music playlist made I created, which consists of usually very calm songs.
Why Did You Decide to Attend Keuka?
I decided to attend Keuka College because I felt like it was a place that suits me as a person and I also felt in love with the athletic program, especially the soccer team.
How has Playing Collegiately and in the Empire 8 Prepared You For Life After College?
It helped improve my work ethic and also made me more responsible.
Favorite Athletic Memory from Your Time in College: My favorite memory is when our men’s soccer team made it to the NEAC final last season.
Favorite Professional Team: My favorite team is Manchester United and my favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo

Advice to Younger Student-Athletes on Why You Chose to Play a Collegiate Sport and Why Playing A Sport is So Important/Beneficial?
Your college career goes by very fast, so enjoy it while it lasts and do not take it for granted. From where I came from (Bronx), I played soccer to stay out of trouble.
