What Have You Done During the COVID-19 Pandemic to Stay Active and What Are Some Positive Effects of the Pandemic You Have Experienced?
I gained time to really work out the way I want to. I have been able to create new ways to workout and stay in shape. Whether that isrunning outside which is something I have done since quarantine started, or working out at a friend's home gym. Some positive effects are you get more than enough family time. Being in quarantine means you are always at home and it's allowed me to spend time that I might not have had without quarantine. We can't go out and do fun things like we want but it is still nice to be around your people.
What Role has Basketball Played in your Personal Development?
Basketball has given me the opportunity to continue my education at a great school. Some of my life long friendships have come from basketball. It has given me family that I would not have without sports. It's kept me out of trouble and helped me become a better person and man. I have learned many lessons and matured through sport.
At what age did you start playing Basketball and what made you stay with it? Did you play any other sports growing up?
I started playing basketball at 3. I just stayed with it because for some reason I just gravitated to it. My dad was pretty good in college and my sister had a good college and an even better high school career. My brother always played with me on teams too. I was always around it, so I grew up with it everywhere and along the way I grew an obsession with it. My mom ran track and high school and growing up my whole family was very competitive. I knew basketball was the sport I wanted to always compete in, but I did play football, soccer, baseball and lacrosse. Anything I could sign up for my parents made sure I was in.
Any Superstitions When It Comes to Pregame Rituals/Training?
My only superstition is listening to slow jams for the pregame. Also before games, I like to watch a movie and relax and not talk to anyone.
Why Did You Decide to Attend St. John Fisher?
I thought it was a great mix of athletics and academics. I believed the Fisher basketball program was headed in the right direction and I wanted to be a part of that. I thought I could be a valuable piece in taking the next steps as a team.
How has Playing Collegiately and in the Empire 8 Prepared You For Life After College?
I think that it has given me the chance to deal with adversity. No matter the game it comes with its own set of challenges. Each day you have to figure out what to do to overcome these obstacles. I think that is easily transferable to life and the Empire 8 has helped me grow in that regard.
Favorite Athletic Memory from Your Time in College:
My favorite memory would be winning the 2019-20 Empire 8 Championship after being down by 20 in the first half against Nazareth. After all we had been through as a team to get that win really meant a lot.

Advice to Younger Student-Athletes on Why You Chose to Play a Collegiate Sport and Why Playing A Sport is So Important/Beneficial?
I chose to play because I love to compete and wanted to keep playing in college, but my advice is if you choose to do this, put in the work. Push yourself and you will have a good experience. Playing is beneficial because it can lead you outside your comfort zone and that's always a good thing. Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
