Nazareth goalkeeper Amanda Chuttey and St. John Fisher College forward Bre Socker were named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior Team. The selected student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coach and were chosen based on their career accomplishments.

The members of the 2021 Division III Senior Team were initially announced during a live video presentation featuring member coaches on Nov. 15. In lieu of the traditional coach-led trophy presentation at the NFHCA Senior Games — which were cancelled due to limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic — coaches were given the opportunity to announce the name of their Senior Team honoree(s).

Chuttey was named the 2021 Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year and was an All-Empire 8 first team selection. In addition, she was an All-Empire 8 second team selection in the spring and honorable mention pick in 2019. Chuttey stopped a league-high 257 shots in 2021, recording an .818 save percentage to go along with a pair of shutouts. She made at least 20 saves in a game seven times this season, including a career-best 31 at Rensselaer on October 8 and 25 saves in the regular season finale at Washington & Jefferson, a 2-1 win that secured a postseason berth.

Socker, the 2017 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and two-time E8 Player of the Year (Spring 2021 and Fall 2021), became the first five-time All-E8 first team pick in league history. Socker, the Empire 8’s all-time leading scorer, finished the 2021 season with 18 goals, 10 assists and 46 points in 18 games, while leading St. John Fisher to its second straight league title and trip to the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

Socker tied her own Empire 8 single-game record with five goals in a win over Russell Sage on October 1 and was named the Empire 8 Championship Tournament for the second straight season. Socker has 95 career goals, 41 assists and 236 points. The 95 goals and 236 points are Empire 8 records. She scored at least 13 goals in all five seasons, including a career-high 28 in 2019. In the abbreviated 2021 spring season, Socker tallied 16 goals and 36 points in just six games.
