Grant Stokoe Headlines 2021 Empire 8 Men’s Cross Country All-Conference Selections

St. John Fisher College senior Grant Stokoe was named Empire 8 Runner of the Meet for the second consecutive season, as the conference unveiled its 2021 Men’s Cross Country All-Conference selections on Thursday, November 4.
 
Stokoe used a late kick to win his second consecutive individual title at the 2021 Empire 8 Cross Country Championships the Washington County Fairgrounds on October 30. He won the race by just under four seconds in a time of 25:39.5 over the 8,000-meter course.

The Empire 8 first, second and third team selections were determined at the championship meet on October 30. The top-seven finishers earned first team honors, while finishers 8-14 garnered second team accolades and finishers 15-21 were third team picks. Houghton senior Dave Russo, Nazareth junior Nathan McNally and St. John Fisher seniors Andrew Ford and Stokoe all earned Empire 8 first team honors for the third time in their collegiate careers. Nazareth’s Nathan Bowers and St. John Fisher’s Ethan Billings were repeat selections.
