The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2021 Women’s Volleyball Championship All-Tournament Team on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Senior outside hitter Alea Steigerwald was named the Empire 8 Tournament Most Valuable Player for the third straight year after leading the Cardinals to their third consecutive league title over the weekend. Steigerwald slammed 12 kills to go along with seven digs and three service aces in the E8 Semifinal on Nov. 5 versus Elmira. She followed that up by hitting .647 with 12 kills and 11 digs in the championship the following day, a three-set win for St. John Fisher over Nazareth. She was one of three St. John Fisher student-athletes to earn All-Tournament Team honors.
