The postseason accolades continued to roll in for the St. John Fisher College men's basketball team as sophomore Daniel Cook was named 2021 First Team All-Region by D3hoops.com.

Cook, who is the 14th Cardinal to be named All-Region since 2002, had a breakout season for Fisher.  The transfer, who was named the Empire 8 Player of the Year earlier this month, became the seventh player in program history and the third consecutive Cardinal to be named the Empire 8's top talent as the Honeoye Falls native led the team and the Empire 8 in scoring at 21.5 points per game.  Cook, who was also named First-Team All-Conference, led the league in rebounding at 10.9 per game and ranked second in field goal percentage at .575.

The forward finished the season with 10 double-doubles and eclipsed the 25-point plateau three times.  He scored 36 points and had 12 rebounds in a win over Utica on March 18 before establishing a new career-high five days later against Houghton with 38 points on 14-of-20 shooting.

The Cardinals concluded the 2020-21 season with an 11-2 overall mark including a 10-0 record in conference play, which was the program's first undefeated conference schedule since 2004-05.  Fisher won the Empire 8 Regular Season Championship and reached the conference title game for the third straight year and sixth time in the last seven seasons.
